Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Henry Brabazon Heaton-Ellis was born on 11 May 1864 at Wyddiall Hall, Buntingford, Hertfordshire, England.2 He was the son of Edward Henry Brabazon Heaton-Ellis and Louisa Harriott Kingscote. He married, firstly, Marion Pringle McCarthy, daughter of Herbert T. S. McCarthy, on 31 October 1888. He married, secondly, Margaret McCulloch, daughter of Robert Campbell McCulloch, on 22 December 1936.1 He died on 24 June 1945 at age 81.
Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Henry Brabazon Heaton-Ellis was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England. He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England. He was commissioned in 1885, in the service of the 4th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902. He gained the rank of Major in the service of the The Bedfordshire Regiment. He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, with the Admiralty. He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919. He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.). He gained the rank of Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the The Bedfordshire Regiment. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.). He was invested as a Knight Bachelor in 1926. He lived at Wyddiall Hall, Buntingford, Hertfordshire, England. He also lived at The Wern, Hanmer, Flintshire, Wales.
